Who is handling my data?
The Widening Participation and Outreach (WP&O) Department offer a range of opportunities to schools aimed at raising aspirations and progression to Higher Education. We are collecting information on your name, contact details etc which is regarded as ‘personal data'. We have to ensure that the data we collect is processed fairly and lawfully and we do this on the basis of legitimate interest.
What will happen to my data?
We share your personal data with members of the Widening Participation and Outreach Department who manage the event. The information you provide will be used to communicate details of the event and to facilitate your visit. All data collected will be held within Widening Participation for the length of the program in accordance with University policy
If you wish to complain about the way data is handled?
You have the right to opt out of data sharing at any time, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01483 689878. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer, Mr James Newby, who will investigate the matter. If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data in a way that is not lawful you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (https://ico.org.uk)
